Here at jana’s three dresses it is just

me, my Bible, my pen, and the

blank page.

My intention is to seek His face in the everyday and remain fully committed to growing in intimacy with Christ.  I daily sit at His feet lifting up questions, doubts, praises, fears, sadness, joys, anger – whatever menagerie of feelings I have that day.  I aim to live authentically and transparently, and I believe the Lord has asked me to encourage others to do the same.

The purpose of jana’s three dresses is not to share my sob story nor is it a place to air all of my dirty laundry.  {The sobs have finally quieted for the most part after 10 years, and my laundry has finally been washed.}  I hope instead that by sharing with you the lessons I have learned along my journey, and the insights, wisdom, and guidance by which God has blessed me, I can encourage you.

We all have a story.  When we share our stories, we bless one another.  God makes sure of that.  We are all empty and broken until he fills us and puts us back together Newly Purposed for His glory.  His promise states,

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:18

My story is one about Life

after death.

I pray my words will be glorifying to God and not self-serving.  My journey, while difficult, has been joy-filled.  I am Newly Purposed for His glory and not my own.  I want to offer others, who have suffered from deep loss, Hope.  I nearly lost my faith in God.  He met me in the pit and pulled me out even when all of my strength was gone.

Jana’s three dresses is for the LORD to use as He sees fit.  I am answering His call to write.  I pray that I will remain faithful, listening to His still small voice and obeying His commands.
