This is what it means to truly Live

You reach for the stars and press into the Light.

You weep when others weep. You rejoice with those rejoicing.

You stand tall and believe in the One who created you.

You dance even when there is no music, just because it feels good.

You hug. You kiss. You laugh.

To truly live….You must Let. Go.

Let go and allow yourself to respond to the beauty He has created from the dust around you. Praying, “Lord, make beauty from this dust. Help me to see Your beauty here.”

To truly live, we become like the lone sunflower in the field reaching and stretching and defying all odds and so called limits this world puts on us. We defy the odds and let our true light shine for His glory, not our own.

From the dust He creates Life. From our messes, He restores hope and joy.

From our pain and suffering, He yields fruit that multiplies to serve the masses. From our tears He brings forth pure life.

To truly live means we must let go of the…

Have to’s.

Should be’s.

Must be’s.

And, just be whom you were created to be. Throw out the limits you put on yourself and others put on you and just live. Fight to untie the bindings of the straightjacket you find yourself in.

Rejoice all the way, even if along your path it is just you and your Creator.

It’s worth it.

And, how do you begin?

You take a deep breath. And another. And another.

Close your eyes and keep taking those deep breaths until you feel your body relaxing and your mind begin to clear.

And then pray these words, “Spirit of the Living God fall afresh on me.”

Over and over until you truly begin to ask for a refreshing. You will know when you have moved into authentic communion with God – those words begin to sink into your soul, moving from your mind down deep to your core.

You will know because your senses will come alive like they never have before!!

May peace surround you anew this day.

purposed for abundant living,

jana

  1. I love this, Jana. Just beautiful. Your words, especially these… “And, just be whom you were created to be. Throw out the limits you put on yourself and others put on you and just live. Fight to untie the bindings of the straightjacket you find yourself in.”… are the ones I needed to hear today. Bless you, friend.

I would love to hear from you!
